Today at ALF: Clarion Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Tournament of Leaves Parade, and More

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion County’s Autumn Leaf Festival continues on Saturday, October 6, with the Clarion Walk to End Alzheimer’s Parade, the Clarion Hospital “Tournament of Leaves Parade,” and more.

The Clarion Walk to End Alzheimer’s starts at the Clarion County Courthouse Lawn. 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

The ATA Shuttle Bus Service will be running from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., $1.25 per trip; Clarion University students and riders under age six and over age 65 ride free. EXACT CHANGE ONLY!

The Clarion County Farmers Market will be set up at the Clarion Mall. Pumpkins, eggs, vegetables, baked goods, local maple syrup and honey, meat, and more! Check out Facebook for more info regarding times and dates.

The Clarion Hospital “Tournament of Leaves Parade” steps off at 12:00 p.m. Sponsored in part by Burns & Burns, Associates, Inc., Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Colony Homes, Commodore Homes, Motel 6 and Studio 6, Park Inn by Radisson, and Structural Modulars Inc. VIP Brunch sponsored by Chartwells Dining.

There will be several food vendors, including all your favorites — cinnamon rolls, fried veggies, gyros, pizza, Stromboli rolls, wraps, taffy, Amish donuts, and more.

More than 500,000 people attend the internationally award-winning event.

The Clarion County Community Bank Foodstock benefits all Clarion County food banks. Donors can bring non-perishable, non-expired food items to their favorite ALF events. The Tournament of Leaves Parade will be held on Saturday, October 6. The event will showcase marching bands, floats, and community organizations.

Reserved parade seats will be available for purchase Monday through Friday at the Clarion Chamber located at 650 Main Street. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card. If paying with a credit card, there is an additional four percent fee.
