SIGEL, Pa. (EYT) — An SUV crashed into a garage in the Sigel area late Saturday afternoon.

Sigel Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the accident around 4:37 p.m.

A fire department representative said the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox lost control while traveling north on State Route 36 near Caldwell Corners Road.

The vehicle traveled through the front yard of a residence before crashing into side of a parked pickup truck and the front of a detached two-stall garage.

The driver and passenger were evaluated by medical personnel but refused transport to the hospital.

The Equinox sustained minor damage and the parked vehicle was moderately damaged. Damage to the garage was minor, according to the fire department representative.

Marienville-based State Police and Jefferson County EMS also responded to the scene.
