State Police Calls: Criminal Mischief, Theft, Hit and Run, DUI
Criminal Mischief in Piney Township
Clarion-based State Police investigated a case of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 8, and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, when Goodyear Viva all season tires, valued at $87.00, on a 2010 Subaru Forester were damaged at a location in Piney Township.
Theft in Clarion Township
State Police in Clarion investigated a theft of a brown utility trailer, valued at $1,500.00, that occurred sometime between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, and 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, at a location along U.S. 322 in Clarion Township.
Hit and Run in Monroe Township
Clarion-based State Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred sometime between 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, in the parking area of the Quality Inn in Monroe Township.
Police say a 2010 Subaru Outback parked in a parking stall at the Quality Inn was struck in the driver’s side rear door by an unknown vehicle, causing a minor scrape and scratch to the middle of the Subaru’s door.
The report notes there is no video surveillance, and there were no witnesses.
DUI in Clarion Borough
According to police, a traffic stop was conducted around 1:30 a.m. on September 1 on Greenville Avenue in Clarion Borough after a traffic violation was observed.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, a known 24-year-old Sheffield man, displayed signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.
The driver consented to a blood draw at the Clarion Emergency Room.
Charges are pending.
