“I thank you for the time here and the great experience, and I will continue to do a full job for you as superintendent right up until the end and continue to serve the district as a member of the intermediate unit district,” Stahlman said. “It certainly is a plus in that capacity.”
Asked if the School Board had any plans regarding the replacement of Stahlman, Board President Hugh Henry said it was discussed during an executive session held earlier in the meeting.
“During the executive session we did discuss what our future is and the good doctor before he leaves is going to lay out some parameters of a job description, and our expectations would be in that description,” Henry said. “What he leaves in his report will be our next step.”
The IU Board approved the hiring of Stahlman for the full-time position at its October 3 meeting.
Stahlman will replace Jeff Brown who is retiring at the end of the year. The Board also approved a contract with Brown as a consultant at a rate $65.00 per hour for a maximum of 75 hours starting January 1.
