Carole F. Turk
Born August 27, 1941, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Kathryn E. Burt Griffin. She was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1959.
Carole worked for many years at Riverside and BiLo, spending over 20 years in the Hasson Heights store.
Mrs. Turk was a long-time member of the Plumer United Methodist Church. She enjoyed walking and biking on the trails in Petroleum Center or any place outdoors, but most of all, loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
On December 2, 1961, she was married to Charles W. Turk, who survives.
In addition to her husband, surviving are three children, Stephen Turk and his wife Terri of Conroe, TX, Merry Kay Scott and her husband Randy of Oil City, and James Turk and his wife Michelle of Marble; and four grandchildren, Derrick Turk and his wife Katherine of Pearland, TX, Douglas Turk of Spanish Fort, AL, Courtney Andring and her husband Tyler of Marienville, and Andrew Turk of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Griffin and his wife Janet of Oil City, and Gary Griffin and his wife Alva of Spartansburg; and a sister, Mary “Ginger” Mangel of Pleasantville.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ali Berkey officiating. Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Venango VNA Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd, Franklin, 16323, the Venango County Humane Society, 286 S Main St, Seneca, 16346, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
