Man Arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a man was taken into custody for driving under the influence of a controlled substance in Washington Township Saturday evening.

Around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, Marienville-based State Police stopped a 2005 Jeep Liberty for a traffic violation along State Route 36 in Washington Township, Clarion County.

Police say upon interviewing the driver, a 36-year-old Punxsutawney man, and further investigation, it was determined that he was under the influence of a controlled substance.

He was arrested for DUI without incident and charges will be filed with District Court 18-3-02.

The name of the driver was not released.
