HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) — Tom Wolf was reelected governor of Pennsylvania on Tuesday with John Fetterman to serve as lieutenant governor.

FOX News, MSNBC, ABC News, and CNN projected Wolf as the winner of the governor’s race shortly after the polls closed at 8:00 p.m.

Wolf was strongly favored over Republican challenger Scott Wagner with a campaign focused primarily on his record of investing in public education, expanding Medicaid, and blocking GOP efforts to restrict abortion rights.

Unofficial reports show Wolf leading with 69.56% of the reported votes, while Wagner lags behind with 28.43%.

Wolf ran alongside Democratic lieutenant governor candidate John Fetterman, a well-known and widely respected progressive candidate who has served as mayor of Braddock since 2005.

Wolf, the 47th Governor of Pennsylvania, was first elected Governor in 2014 and was sworn into office on January 20, 2015.

Prior to winning his seat as Governor in 2014, Wolf served on an economic development board and on the Pennsylvania Legislative Commission on Urban Schools. He also served under Governor Ed Rendell as the Secretary of Revenue of Pennsylvania.
