James Breezes by Kluck on Way to 64th District  Re-Election

HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) – State Representative R. Lee James (R) has been re-elected to District 64 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

James clinched his fourth term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, edging out Democrat challenger and Oil City teacher John Kluck.

James’ campaign focused on his accomplishments in office, ranging from his work supporting funding for public education to his staunch support of second amendment rights.

Current results show James beat Kluck by a margin of about 6,000 votes, overall. In Venango County, James led by a wide margin, with unofficial results showing 11,858 for James and 5,910 for Kluck. Preliminary results show James also led by a margin of about 1,000 votes in Butler County.

Both James and Kluck ran unopposed on the May primary election. James was heavily favored in the midterm race.

All 203 seats in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives were up for election in 2018.

Specific details of the election are pending.

Members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives serve two-year terms and are not subject to term limits. Pennsylvania legislators assume office in January.
