State Police Calls: DUIs, Retail Theft

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following incidents:

DUI on View Drugs in Beaver Township

Around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, state police investigated a DUI during a systematic check of a commercial vehicle at the Interstate 80 weigh station located at the westbound mile marker 56.4 in Beaver Township.

Police say a DUI arrest was subsequently made.

Retail Theft in Monroe Township

Around 1:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, state police received a report of a retail theft that occurred inside the Walmart store in Monroe Township.

A known 37-year-old Clarion woman was located inside the store and was taken back to the Clarion State Police barracks for processing and released.

The woman was accused of stealing the following:

  • A container of chicken and broccoli, value $4.97.
  • A container of flounder, value $4.42.
  • Four 22 ounce containers of food, value $6.48.
  • A container of chicken, value $4.97.

DUI Crash

According to police, around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, while investigating a crash, it was determined the driver, a known 34-year-old Knox man, was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Charges are pending through Magisterial District Judge 18-3-03.
