5beb0fe7b3e0aTerry L. Ruth, 72, of Knox passed away following a brief illness on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Shippenville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born December 9, 1945 in Oil City, Terry was the son of the late Clarence and Gladys Ruth.

On September 28, 1968, Terry married Connie Knight who survives.

Terry attended school at the White Memorial School in Knox.

He spent 25 years working for the Timberline Box Factory, then worked for Clarion Fiber Drum and Swartfager Welding.

Terry enjoyed hunting, watching westerns, spending time with his family and a clean car.

Terry is survived by his wife, his daughters Lisa (Nelson) Cotherman of Knox and Shellie (Ed McGrady) Ruth of Knox, a special niece Staci (Mike) Fyock of Corisca; his grandchildren Andrew and Amanda Ruth of Emlenton and Megan Cotherman of Knox; his great grandchildren Hayden, Bentley and Chevelle Ruth all of Emlenton, his sisters and brothers Art (Toni) Ruth of Texas, Howard (Sandy) Ruth of Knox, Suzie (Larry) Heller of Brookville, barb Whitmore of Florida, Nancy Myers of North Carolina and Pat Shoffstall of Franklin. Also surviving are two sisters in law Bonnie Benninger of Knox and Carolyn of Knox, a brother in law Ted (Pam) Knight of Knox and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents Terry was preceded in death by two sisters Ruby Miller and Geraldine Strotman and three brothers in law Chester Knight, Tom Knight and Jack Knight.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 am Friday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, Inc., 504 E. Penn St., Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Ron Hunsberger officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedar View Cemetery in Strattanville.
