John G. Sutley

John-Sutley-1542363915John G. Sutley, 56, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2018 at UPMC Northwest hospital in Seneca, PA.

He was born in Franklin on November 17, 1961 to the late Charles A. and Mary Jane (Strawbridge) Sutley.

He attended Rocky Grove High School.

John is survived by his wife, Ale Estrada.

John worked as a mechanic and driver for Baker’s as well as a driver for Hand-In-Hand Christian Counseling.

In his spare time, John was a Chevy man and loved working on automobiles. He built his own dune buggy, raced at the Tri-City Raceway, working on his family’s and friend’s vehicles, and going to car shows; he especially enjoyed classic car shows and car/dune buggy cruises. When someone was in need of vehicle repairs, John was the one everyone called. He did everything he could and more when someone called and was in need of help. He also loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, and collected bicycles and dune buggy collectibles.

He cherished the time he spent with his family and his best friend, Gary Crawford.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his two sons, John and Erik Estrada of Franklin; his daughter, Erika Estrada of Franklin; his grandchildren, Erik, Chevelle and Cody Estrada of Tionesta, Selena Estrada, Domanick Daly, Riley Estrada, Charles Estrada, and soon to be born, Michael Estrada, all of Franklin.

He is further survived by his brother, Robert Sutley and his wife, Peg, of Dempseytown; and his four sisters, Cheryl Karns and her husband, Dave, of Franklin, Cindy Terry and her husband, Tex, of Polk, Sandy Ray of Titusville, and Judy Bowman and her husband, Robert, of Morgantown, PA.

In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Walters; his brothers-in-law, Bruce Walters, Gary Ray and Rudy Estrada; his sister-in-law, Colleen Estrada; his niece, Lori Ray; and his nephew, Randy Ray.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff- Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 2:00 – 5:45 P.M. on Monday, November 19, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lonny Wolford, retired pastor of the Fox Street Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be held at the Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery.
