Barry L. Karns, 63, of Franklin passed away on November 16, 2018 at the Meadville Medical Center.

Born on September 4th, 1955in Franklin, he was the son of Charles W. and Hazel I. (Barnicle) Karns who survives.

He was a 1973 graduate of Franklin Area High School then furthered his education at Clarion College, graduating in 1977.

Barry lived in Salt Lake City, UT for many years returning to Franklin 20 years ago.

Barry worked in the office at the Venango Area Riding for the Handicapped Association.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Deborah Lyle and her husband, David, of Centerville; his nephew Michael Lyle of Durham, NC; his niece , Christine Slagle and her husband, Justin, of Jamestown, NY; and his many close friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
