Clarion Man Accused of Choking Woman During Domestic Dispute

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Clarion man is facing felony strangulation and related charges after he allegedly choked a woman during a domestic dispute.

Court documents indicate the Clarion-based State Police filed the following criminal charges against 30-year-old Jack A. Walker, of Clarion:

– Strangulation — Applying Pressure to Throat or Neck, Felony 2
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:31 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, the Clarion-based State Police received a call from a known female stating she was in a domestic argument with Jack Alan Walker.

Trooper Berggren proceeded to the scene to speak to the victim.

According to the complaint, the victim reported that during the argument with Walker, he grabbed her by the throat and squeezed so she could not breathe. She stated that he then threw her onto the bed and used his arm to strangle her again.

The victim said that she could not breathe or move and had to grab Walker by the genitals to make him let her go. After Walker released her, the victim left the bedroom and called the state police, according to the complaint.

Walker was arraigned at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, in Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s office.

Unable to post $1,500.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, with Magisterial District Judge Duane L. Quinn presiding.
