KNOX TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Lucinda man is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a victim during a domestic dispute.

Court documents indicate on Monday, November 26, Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 26-year-old Joseph Robert Eugene Parsons, of Lucinda.

According to a criminal complaint, on November 22, Joseph Parsons came home to his residence on Old Fryburg Road in Lucinda to find his wife packing her stuff to move out. He came up the stairs and started yelling at the victim.

When the victim was attempting to call a relative to come to get her, Parsons allegedly grabbed the phone out of her hand and smashed it by throwing it against the wall, the complaint states.

The victim reported that at one point, Parsons grabbed her by the face and pushed her up against the wall.

The victim left the residence and went to the neighbor’s house and contacted Parsons’ relatives. Parsons was outside yelling across the road when the relatives arrived. The victim went back to the house to get keys to leave, and Parsons followed her up the stairs. He then followed her back down the stairs to the kitchen allegedly smashing things, according to the complaint.

The complaint states that at this point, Parsons allegedly saw the Taurus 380 on the kitchen counter and picked the gun up, took it out of the holster, loaded the gun, and pointed it at the victim while yelling and calling her names.

Parsons’ relative wrestled the gun from him, the complaint states.

The victim’s relatives arrived shortly after, and Parsons’ relative gave the pistol to one of them.

Parsons’ relative then took the Remington 870 out of the gun cabinet along with a Beaman Air Rifle and placed them in his vehicle.

The relative advised state police that he did take the gun from Parsons.

While Parsons was sitting in the patrol car, he asked the officer what he was going to be charged with, and the officer told him, at least Terroristic Threat and Reckless Endangerment. Parsons then allegedly stated that “he should have shot her,” according to the complaint.

He was arraigned at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, in front of Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill on the following charges:

– Possession Of Firearm Prohibited, Felony 2 (two counts)
– Terroristic Threats W/ Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $20,000.00 bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11 with Judge Schill presiding.
