Donald B. “Don” Piker

Photo - Piker croppedDonald B. “Don” Piker, 56, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born November 12, 1962 in Johnstown, PA, the son of Donald Robert “Bob” and Patricia (Horner) Piker.

Don served in the US Army and previously worked in the construction industry.

Currently, he was proud to be enrolled in college and working toward his goal of being a drug and alcohol counselor.

He loved hunting and shooting his guns, and also spent his free time camping, fishing and going to yard sales.

Don cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and family, and was happiest when everyone was gathered at his home.

He is survived by his daughter, Brianne Shaw and husband, Marcus, of Cogan Station; grandchildren, Andrew Ricketts and Zoey Shaw; Rachel A. Piker, of Rimersburg; brothers, James “Frump” Piker, of Mundys Corner, David Piker, of Johnstown, and Matthew Piker, of Johnstown; sister, Kimberly Marcus and husband, David, of Brush Valley; step-sons, James Russell Morris and wife, Dixie, of Sligo, Frank Joseph Morris and wife, Elizabeth, of West Freedom, and Charles William Morris and wife, Mary, of Conneaut Lake; 7 step-grandchildren; and11 step-great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Piker; and step-son, Paul “Tiger” Morris.

Family and friends will be received from 1 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with Pastor Rob Hranicky officiating.
