A Dozen Local Fire Departments Dispatched to Residential Blaze in President Township

PRESIDENT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A blaze at a residence in President Township was battled by firefighters from a dozen local fire departments on Sunday evening.

According to a representative of Venango County Emergency Management, the call came in around 5:11 p.m. for a residential fire at 395 Eagle Rock Road in President Township, Venango County.

The representative said the initial call indicated a wood stove ignited the fire.

President Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department, Pinegrove Volunteer Fire Department, Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Rouseville Volunteer Fire Department, Reno Volunteer Fire Department, Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Rockland Township Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, Oakland Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cherrytree Township Volunteer Fire Department, Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department, and Community Ambulance were dispatched to the scene, along with Franklin-based State Police.

Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department was placed on standby.

A damage estimate was not available as of early Monday morning.

No injuries were reported.

The scene was cleared at 9:33 p.m.
