Norma-Walker-1544350723Norma J. Walker, 89 of Stoneboro, passed away on December 7, 2018 at Shippenville Healthcare & Rehab.

Norma was born in Greenville on December 6, 1929 to the late Paul Love and Fearn Cochran Love.

She was a 1948 graduate of Fredonia-Delaware High School and a 1949 graduate of the Shenango Valley Commercial School.

In her earlier years she worked as a legal assistant at Attorney Drake’s office in Mercer and later became a homemaker for her family.

She married her beloved husband, Teddy G. Walker on December 29, 1948, he preceded her in death on November 1, 2012.

Norma was a faithful woman who loved her Lord and Savior.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Fredonia.

She loved flowers always planting spectacular porch box gardens.

She played the mandolin, taking lessons from 1st to 12th grade and played in her high school orchestra.

Norma especially loved her family dearly, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Martin and husband Gary of Clarion, and Marlene Walker of Shippenville, grandchildren Brad Martin and wife Heather of Sandy Lake, Jennifer Martin of Winfield, IL, and Todd Martin and wife Heidi of Shippenville, great-grandchildren Quinton, Easton, Rory, Remy, Owen, and Anthony, and a sister, Naydene Young and husband Normon of Hermitage.

In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by her brother, DeLos Love.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of STONEBORO, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm on Friday, December 14. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 11 am on Saturday, December 15.

Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
