Paul H. TownerPaul H. Towner, 88, formerly of Enola, PA, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, just 5 days short of his 89th birthday, surrounded by his loving family at the home of his son, LeRoy Towner, in Lucinda.

Born in Canton, PA on December 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Ethel Pardoe Towner.

Paul was a graduate of Canton High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a delivery driver working for various companies in his lifetime, from Elmira, Tobacco, Vigor-Tone Ag Products, and even furniture store delivery.

Paul loved bluegrass music and all things old.

He enjoyed wood-working, crossword puzzles, silverware crafting, and tinkering.

Paul is survived by his two children, Debra Ameigh of Peoria, AZ and LeRoy Towner and his wife Jan of Lucinda, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a niece, Sandra Hutchison, and his special friend, Shirley Preston of Hornell, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Towner and a granddaughter, Jessica.

Paul’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where a Memorial Service will be held at noon in the Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Evans, Clarion Forest V.N.A. Hospice Chaplin.

Interment will be held in the Windfall Cemetery near Canton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Clarion Forest V.N.A. Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion, PA 16214 or the charity of your choice.
