Clarion County Awards $101K in Liquid Fuel Grants

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion County Commissioners received county aid requests from 16 municipalities for 25 proposed projects totaling $793,061.00 and the total aid requested was $586,045.19.

The county has approximately $102,000.00 to distribute and decided on the liquid fuel awards on Tuesday morning.

After reviewing the request and discussions with various municipalities, the county was able to fund nine of the 16 municipalities with liquid fuels aid totaling $101,249.

Municipalities, projects, and funding are listed below:

Beaver Township, Eagle Furnace Road paving, $30,000.00

Ashland Township, seal coat project, $6,126.00

Licking Township, Larkin Road seal coat, $8,250.00

Salem Township, seal coating Turkey City Road, $8,350.00

Limestone Township, Frogtown Road, $11,921.00

Sligo Borough, Shorb Street project, $14,202.00

New Bethlehem Borough, State Route 861 Inlet replacement, $2,400.00

Madison Township, guardrail replacement on Wildcat Church Road, $10,000.00

Richland Township, paving Mets Road, $10,000.00
