LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Clarion’s Jonathan Williams was recognized by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference as the West Division’s Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Williams continued the hot start to his junior campaign with his best performance to date, dropping 27 points on Mansfield on Saturday. He shot 13-of-15 from the field while grabbing nine boards and adding two blocks, in 28 minutes of action.

“Jon played with great effort,” Clarion head coach Marcess Williams said. “He played at a high level on both ends of the floor. I’m happy his effort was rewarded!”

Williams is averaging 9.8 points per game thus far this year and is shooting just above 55 percent from both the field and beyond the arc, adding 5.2 rebounds a game.
