Thumbnail-4Daryl L. Bell, 79, of Franklin, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Born on March 29, 1939, he was the son of late parents, Ralph W. and Selvada (Rummel) Bell.

After graduating high school, he worked as a driver for the UPS until his retirement.

On September 15, 1979, Daryl married the love of his life, JoAnn E. Mamott; she survives.

Daryl had a vibrancy for travel and his family. He took his family on many road trips and vacations throughout the years. Daryl also enjoyed going to their camp on Kibbe’s Island, camping and hunting, and went on several cruises. He also enjoyed the simpler things in life. He could never pass up a good yard sale, or a good deal, when he saw one. He also loved to play Texas Hold’em.

In addition to his wife, Daryl is survived by his sons, Randy J. Bell and his wife, Lori, of Franklin, Ricky L. Bell of Franklin, Jeffrey A. Dykins of Venus, and Timothy E. Dykins and his wife, Janet, of Franklin; his daughters, Robin R. Bell of Kenya, Africa, Roxanne S. Foster of Utica, and Natalie E. Prichard and her husband, Steve, of Cooperstown; his aunt, Dolores Rummel; his cousin, Judy Tymowczak and her husband, Mike, of Handover, PA; and several other cousins.

He is further survived by his grandchildren, Kevin Sherman and his wife, Tabitha, of Oil City, Robert Douglas (Courtney), of Oil City, Courtney Bell (Alex) of Carnegie, Corey Bell of Franklin, Mike Nagl (Halie) of Franklin, Megan Thorton and her husband, Tim, of Huntington, WV, Emily Speilvogle and her husband, Nate, of Charleston, SC, Nichole Bell of Franklin, Joseph and Logan Dykins, both of Franklin, and Azlyn and Kyle Greenlee, both of Franklin; and his great-grandchildren, Seth Douglas of Titusville, Christopher Smith of Oil City, Liberty and Eric Rickenback of Oil City, Blake Douglas of Oil City, Finlee Earl of Franklin, and Cambriella Bell of Franklin.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Bell; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Funeral services for Daryl will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. at 4:30 pm with Reverend Roy Gearhart, pastor of the Galloway United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
