Cole shares the honor with Erie Cathedral Prep running back Billy Lucas.

Setting the District 10 single-season rushing record this past season, Cole ran for 3,252 yards and 46 touchdowns while helping the Oilers to the District 10 Class 5A championship, the school’s first D10 football title in 20 years, and a 10-2 overall record.

Cole also was 3 of 6 passing for 76 yards, a touchdown and an interception while making three catches for 23 yards.

On defense, the linebacker made 114 tackles with two sacks, two interceptions, two fumbles caused and a fumble recovery.

Cole scored 47 total touchdowns, 24 2-point conversions and kicked two PATs while scoring 308 total points for Oil City, an average of 25.7 points per game.

He was held under 200 yards rushing just twice while running for over 300 yards five times including a career-best 384 yards against Meadville. He also scored at least four rushing touchdowns in eight of the Oilers 12 games and scored five or more times on the ground five times with a high of six rushing touchdowns in a win over Fort LeBoeuf.

Cole also joined Lucas as the running backs on the All-District team.

Joining Cole on the All-District squad were teammates Dasan Manross (offensive line), Mario Fontanazza (defensive line) and Noah Petro (all-purpose) as well as Franklin’s Cade Adams (wide receiver).
