Clarion Man Busted for Selling Marijuana

CLARION BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — CNET arrested a Clarion man after he sold marijuana to a confident informant and to an undercover officer.

According to court documents, on December 15, Clarion County Detectives arrested 23-year-old Amir Shariff Nealy, of Clarion, on drug charges.

Court documents indicate that Nealy also has a residence in Philadelphia, Pa.

According to a criminal complaint, on April 5, 2018, CNET (Clarion County Narcotics Enforcement Team) conducted two controlled purchases of marijuana, a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, from Amir Shariff Nealy (AKA Mook).

CNET utilized a confidential informant (C.I.) to complete one of the purchases and to introduce an undercover officer to Nealy for a hand to hand transaction.

The complaint states that Nealy lives on E. Main Street, and the first purchase was made at 5:16 p.m. on April 5 in the parking lot of Nealy’s residence.

According to the complaint, Nealy provided the C.I. with a plastic baggie of marijuana in exchange for $35.00 of CNET pre-recorded U.S. currency.

The C.I. also introduced Nealy to the undercover officer who purchased marijuana from him with CNET pre-recorded U.S. currency.

Based on the investigation, Nealy was arrested on December 15.

He was arraigned at 12:30 a.m. on December 15 in Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk’s office on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (two counts)
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (two counts)
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (two counts)

Unable to post $5,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

According to Clarion County Jail’s inmate database search, a cash bond was posted, and Nealy was released at 4:37 p.m. on December 15.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 8 in front of Magisterial District Judge Duane L. Quinn.
