Aldine Zimmerman, Age 93 of the Sykesville-Troutville Road, Punxsutawney, PA died Friday, December 21, 2018 in the comfort of her home in the loving care of her devoted family after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with multiple cancers.

Born on June 5, 1925 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. & Edna E. Dunlap Liddle.

She was married to Clair V. “Bud” Zimmerman.  He preceded her in death on September 7, 1996.

Aldine was a homemaker and a member of the Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a member of the ladies’ aide.  She was a member of the Brady Grange, the Over 50 Club, the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary, the Sykesville Senior Citizens Center and LIFT.

Aldine enjoyed reading, camping, country music, traveling, cooking & baking.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by 2 daughters (Donna Anker & her husband David of Hamlin, NY and Bonnie Strouse of Sykesville, PA); 4 grandchildren (Ashley Fico; Kyle Anker; Jamie Murray; and Cody Strouse), and 2 great grandchildren (Alexis & Bayley Strouse).

Aldine was preceded in death by a grandchild (Ian Anker) 4 brothers (Albert, Arthur, Lamar, & James Liddle) and 2 infant sisters (Alice & Viola Liddle).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Audre Krise & Pastor Sara Sedgwick co officiating.

Burial will follow in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
