William M. Shaffer, Age 64 of Maple St., Brockway, PA died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his home.

Born on March 7, 1954 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late William E. “Red” and Doris L. Marshall Shaffer.

Bill was a member of the Independent, Political, & Social Club.

He is survived by his loving companion of 33 years, Karen Berkey; 2 children (Holly L. Potts & her husband Paul of Brookville, PA, and Brock E. Burkey & his wife Jessica of Vine Grove, KY) a brother (Mark E. Shaffer & his wife Patricia of DuBois, PA); 2 sisters (Apryl Pernesky and her husband, Edward of Falls Creek, PA; and Laura Foltz and her husband, Steve of Eighty Four, PA); and a grandchild (Addison Potts).

He was preceded in death by his brother (Robert F. Shaffer).

There will be no public visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.

The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
