Barry Dean Ziegler, 67, of Medina, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

The son of the late Donald D. Ziegler and the late Audrey (Grove) Ziegler. He was born on May 12, 1951 in Franklin, PA.

Barry graduated from Cranberry Area High School in 1970, where he ran track, played trombone and performed in various drama & musical productions.

He graduated from Houghton College in 1974 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business.

He played trombone at church with his father, uncles and cousins, and played in the Wind Ensemble during his years at Houghton College.

Most of his career was spent as a hydraulics & pneumatics sales engineer using knowledge and skills of the industry he had learned from his father.

He enjoyed growing things and was especially good with animals, taming nearly every stray in the neighborhood. His passions included trucks, gun collecting and computers.

Barry was beloved husband of Aleatha (Harter) whom he married on July 5, 1975, in Houghton, NY, and loving father to daughter Mary-Grace, and sons Emerson (Trista) of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Wesley (fiancée Moe) of Seattle, Washington, Charles (Ashley) of Wooster, Ohio and Harrison of Medina,Ohio. His survived by his sister Lynda (Ralph) McLouth of Findley, NY, and many cousins in PA, NC, and Utah.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother & father, Don & Audrey Ziegler and daughter, Mary-Grace Katherine (1981).

A memorial service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held on Saturday, January 26th at First Baptist Church, 3646 Medina Rd., Medina Ohio.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 pm with the service following at 7 pm with Pastor John McCaw, officiating.
