FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Forest County man is facing felony charges after he allegedly sold Suboxone to a confidential informant.

According to court documents, on January 17, 2019, Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges in Judge Daniel L. Miller’s office against 41-year-old Michael Eugene Potter, of Marienville.

The charges stem from two controlled purchases of illegal drugs from Michael Potter by a confidential informant (C.I.) for the Troop C Vice Unit.

According to a criminal complaint, the controlled purchases took place around 2:27 p.m. on January 5, 2017, and 3:42 p.m. on January 11, 2017, at a convenience store in Marienville, in Jenks Township, Forest County.

The complaint states that Potter delivered two 8 mg. of Suboxone strips on January 5 and two strips on January 11 to a C.I.

Potter used Facebook messenger to communicate with the C.I. to facilitate the sales.

He is awaiting a preliminary hearing on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (two counts)
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3 (two counts)
