Police Release Details of Crash that Left Clarion Man Seriously Injured

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police have released the details of a Paint Township crash that sent a Clarion man with suspected serious injuries.

According to Clarion-based police, around 3:36 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, Kenneth M. Wagner, 60, of Clarion was operating a 2004 Hyundai Sonata, traveling north on State Route 66/Paint Boulevard near its intersection with Amsler Avenue.

As Wagner was traveling north, his vehicle struck a 2017 Kenworth tractor trailer operated by Richard A. Klosterman, 62, of Ludlow, Ky. that was attempting to pull out of Amsler Avenue onto Paint Boulevard.

According to police, Wagner was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered suspected serious injuries. He was transported to Clarion Hospital by Clarion Hospital Ambulance.

His current condition is unknown.

Klosterman was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Wagner was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.
