Clarion Man’s Drone Business Flying High
CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion native Ryan Reddinger started RedHawk Drone Solutions LLC in July 2018 to help mitigate risk, cut costs, and increase efficiency for businesses while operating lawfully within the guidelines of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
A graduate of Kent State University with a degree in aeronautical studies, Reddinger draws on his education and experience in the construction field to guide his drone business. He is also a licensed drone pilot.
The company provides mapping, inspection, photography, and videography services across a wide range of industries. Using drone technology, RedHawk has the capability of capturing unique photography and video perspectives that best highlight business and provide insight.
Reddinger talked to members of the Clarion Rotary Club Monday about his business and shared some detailed high-quality photography of Trinity Point and other locations. He explained how the drone photography provides detailed records that can be examined to determine if repairs need to be done on equipment or the property in addition to surveying property.
According to Reddinger, the company uses orthomosaic maps that utilize hundreds of thousands of photos stitched together to form one high-quality map. The quality is better than satellite imagery and can better showcase features of the land.
Reddinger, a Clarion resident, is a 2007 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School.
