Vehicle Slams into Snow Bank, Multiple Trees Off Route 68; Sligo Woman Escapes Injury

SLIGO, Pa. (EYT) — A vehicle crashed into a snow bank and multiple trees off State Route 68 on Saturday morning.

According to Clarion-based State Police, the accident happened around 6:23 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, on Front Street (Route 68), in Sligo Borough, Clarion County.

Police say 58-year-old Carol Hawk, of Sligo, was traveling east when her 2008 Honda CRV crossed the westbound lane. The vehicle struck a snow bank, a PennDOT segment marker sign, and proceeded to travel down over an embankment and subsequently struck multiple trees bringing the vehicle to a stop.

Hawk was using a seat belt and was not injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
