WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Assault and harassment charges were filed against a Tionesta woman who allegedly punched, slapped, and scratched a man during a domestic dispute.
Court documents indicate that on Saturday, February 2, the Marienville-based State Police filed criminal charges against 24-year-old Victoria Lynn Deloe, of Tionesta.
According to a criminal complaint, around 8:31 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, Marienville-based State Police were notified of a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Lake Lucy Road in Tionesta.
Trooper Weaver responded to the scene at 9:01 a.m. and spoke to a known victim (a 25-year-old Oil City man) who stated that Victoria Deloe had left the residence with her mother.
Trooper Weaver noted that the victim had visible scratches and marks on his face, neck, and arms, as well as an open wound on his nose with fresh blood around it. The victim also had blood on and around his lips that seemed to be coming from his mouth. The victim then took off his shirt, and Trooper Weaver observed fresh scratches and marks on his back and shoulders.
According to the complaint, the victim stated he got into an argument with Deloe, but could not recall what the argument was about due to arguing with Deloe on a daily basis. The victim said the argument turned physical when Deloe attacked him by punching, slapping, scratching, and pushing him. He stated that he “did not lay hands on her” but every time she hit him, he threw items around the house onto the floor.
The complaint notes that Trooper Weaver observed multiple items scattered around the residence, laying all over the floor.
Trooper Weaver then proceeded to Deloe’s mother’s residence where he spoke with Deloe.
According to the complaint, Deloe stated she got into an argument when the victim “woke up in a bad mood” and said the argument most likely “carried over” after arguing the previous day. Deloe went on to say the argument turned physical when she told the victim to go outside and cool off, but he came toward her instead, at which point she began hitting, slapping, and scratching him. She said he then began throwing things around the house onto the floor.
The complaint notes that Deloe also stated that the victim “did not lay hands on her” or intentionally throw items at her.
Based on the investigation, Deloe was arraigned at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, in Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office on the following charges:
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact
Unable to post $1,000 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
She was released on Monday, February 4, on $1,000.00 cash security posted by a private surety.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, with Judge Schill presiding.
