Police: Intoxicated Shoplifters Found Eating Cookies, Trying on Clothes in Walmart Parking Lot

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say two intoxicated women are facing retail theft charges following a bizarre incident on Sunday at Walmart in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, an incident of retail shoplifting occurred on Sunday, February 10, when 31-year-old Tiffany Ray and 39-year-old Katie Corrigan, both of Oil City, proceeded to take approximately $306.00 worth of merchandise out of the Walmart store in Cranberry Township, without paying.

Police say the two were seen eating cookies and putting clothes on over the clothing they were already wearing.

According to police, both Ray and Corrigan were intoxicated.

The two women taken into custody and placed under arrest for retail theft.

Police say Corrigan was taken to the hospital because she “suffered health ailments resulting from drug use.”

The investigation is ongoing.
