Ohio Man Cited After Car Gets Stuck in Standing Water Near Nebraska Bridge

GREEN TWP., Pa. — An Ohio man was cited by state police after he drove his car into standing water along Nebraska Road in Green Township, Forest County.

According to a release issued Saturday by Marienville-based State Police, the incident happened on February 8 around 11:30 a.m.

Police said Evan A. Evans, 26, of Hubbard, Ohio, was traveling north on Nebraska Road at approximately 20 MPH when he encountered standing water on the roadway.

The engine of Evans’ 1995 Ford Thunderbird subsequently shut off as it came in contact with the water.

Evans then exited the vehicle as it continued further into the water.

He was not injured.

Evans was cited for failing to immediately report the incident to police.
