BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police have released the details of a Beaver Township crash that left a Knox woman injured last week.

According to police, around 8:39 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, Cindy L. Mays 49, of Knox, was operating a 2015 Dodge Caravan, traveling south on State Route 338 just south of Kribbs Road in Beaver Township.

Police say Mays was unable to maintain control of her vehicle while traveling on the icy roadway and the vehicle slid off the east berm of the road before traveling down an embankment and striking a culvert ditch.

Mays was wearing a seatbelt. Shippenville Ambulance transported Mays to Clarion Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Frye’s Garage.

Knox Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.
