State Police Calls: Motor Vehicle Accidents

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Rollover Crash in Paint Township

According to police, around 1:33 a.m. on February 6, 19-year-old Lynne R. McCune, of Lucinda, was operating a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, traveling north on State Route 66 just north of Selker Road in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Police say McCune’s vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, then traveled approximately 50 feet before overturning and rolling down over an embankment. It came to a final rest on its roof in the northbound lane facing east.

Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Ambulance Service transported McCune to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

She was using a seatbelt.

Motor Vehicle Accident in Richland Township

According to police, around 7:10 a.m. on February 11, 41-year-old Rebecca L. Chizmar, of Austintown, Ohio, was operating a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, traveling east on Interstate 80 near the 45-mile marker in Richland Township, Clarion County.

Police say Chizmar was traveling in the left lane, attempting to merge into the right lane, when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment on the north shoulder. The vehicle came to a final rest on the embankment facing south.

Chizmar suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport.

She was using a seat belt.

Her passenger, a six-year-old female, was secured in a booster seat and was not injured.

Emlenton Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Motor Vehicle Accident in Clarion Township

According to police, around 9:56 a.m. on February 12, 23-year-old Brittani E. Galbo, of Springfield, IL, was operating a 2017 Ford Escape, traveling east on Interstate 80 near the 63.8-mile marker in Clarion Township.

Police say Galbo failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, exited the north side of the road, and struck a guide rail.

Galbo was wearing a seatbelt and her passenger, a two-year-old male, was secured in a child safety seat.

No injuries were reported.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front left side and was towed from the scene by MC Auto Repair & Towing.

Galbo was cited for a lane violation.
