Mrs. Barbara J. Harger Bickel

Screen Shot 2019-02-23 at 8.08.43 AMMrs. Barbara J. Harger Bickel, 82, formerly of Cloverdale Rd. Titusville, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 10:15 AM at Sugarcreek Station in Franklin.

Barbara was born on March 22, 1936 in Oil City to the late Milton P. and Grace E. Farren Marvin.

She married Gerald Francis Harger on July 24, 1954 in Engola, IN. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1975.

She was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1954.

Barbara was a homemaker and also worked at Dollar General for 16 years.

She was a member of the Breedtown Baptist Church and most recently the Rometown Community Church.

She served in many different roles in the church including Sunday School Superindent and working with children in the church.

Barbara enjoyed reading, crocheting, cake decorating and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children, Gary Harger of Centerville, Tim Harger and wife Cindy of Centerville, Shawn Harger of Centerville, and Rhonda Harger of Titusville; Eight grandchildren, Stacie Knapp and husband Jimmy, Eric Harger and wife Miranda, Shawn Waddell, Brandon Harger and wife Sharna, Maria Schweitzer and Eric, Megan Sagan and husband Neal, Levi Harger and fiancé Johnna, and Lauren Harger and companion Zach; twenty two great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; and a brother Milton D. Marvin of Wisconsin.

Family and friends may call from the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home 203 E. Main St. Titusville on Monday from 11 to 1 PM at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Kenneth Thompson, officiating.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
