CU’s Kehn, Sather Earn All-American Honors in Diving Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS – Emma Kehn and Christina Sather earned All-American honors on Thursday as they both placed in the 1M Dive at the 2019 NCAA Division II Championship.

The pair will both look to add to their totals later this week when they compete in the 3M Dive in Indianapolis.

Kehn and Sather excelled in what was a crowded field by taking fourth and fifth in the prelims earlier in the day. They maintained that order into the finals, but improved their positions with Kehn scoring a 455.05 good enough for second place, while Sather was just behind her at 447.25 in third. A close finish for the National Championship, Nadia Mulder and a fellow PSAC representative took first with a final score of 467.75.

“I’m just thrilled with the way Emma and Christina dove tonight,” diving coach Dave Hrovat said. “With the obstacles we have overcome this season, I couldn’t be more proud of their efforts.”

The pair of Kehn and Sather will look to add more hardware to their trophy case later this week when they compete in the 3M Dive.
