matthew-seayOIL CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Florida man was charged with criminal homicide after arriving at the Titusville Police Department Thursday evening with a dead body in the bed of his pickup truck.

Corry-based State Police said three individuals arrived at the Titusville Police Department on Thursday evening to report a murder.

Police said the individuals reported that 20-year-old Bradley Matthew Seay, of Lakeland, Florida, shot and killed 29-year-old Earl George Scroger Jr., of Titusville, at a camp along Howe Lane, near Windfall Road, in Oil Creek Township.

According to police, officers then made contact with Seay and he then agreed to come to the Titusville police station.

Police say the deceased victim was discovered in the bed of the pickup truck Seay was operating.

Court documents indicate Seay was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Rita J. Marwood at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, on one first-degree felony count of criminal homicide.

He was lodged in the Crawford County Jail. Bail was denied.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, with Magisterial District Judge Amy L. Nicols presiding.

The investigation is ongoing.

Crawford County District Attorney Francis Schultz, Crawford County Coroner Scott Schell, and Titusville police assisted at the scene.
