The Washington Township Community Association (WTCA)’s Memorial Scholarship was established in 2015.

WTCA is a non-profit organization which coordinates Mayfest held during Memorial Day weekend annually in Fryburg, Pa., as a way to give back to the community.

The scholarship is another way the organization can give back and assist local students. The memorial scholarship relies solely on the generous donations of local business and community members.

Recipients of the scholarship need to be a graduate of North Clarion High School, Keystone High School, Cranberry High School, or Venango Catholic High School. Students must also reside in the geographical areas of those school districts.

The students apply for the scholarship by completing a 2019 Bridge Builders Community Foundations Application and writing a short essay on the topic: What Does Being A Member Of A Community Mean To You?

The WTCA fundraising drive is a part of the Week of Giving which is being held through March 22.
