Paint Township Supervisors Discuss Projects

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — It was the first day of spring, and the Paint Township supervisors had spring sprucing up on their minds.

Chairman Jeff Corcetti opened the meeting on Wednesday evening with discussion of renovations at the township building, including the replacement of ceiling tiles, flooring, and lighting in the garage. Corcetti shared initial estimates with his fellow supervisors, but nothing was presented for vote.

Jacqui Blose, township secretary/treasurer, announced that street sweeping will be done April 1 through 5. Vice Chairman Ken Ganoe requested that the collected waste be dumped at the township building. Corcetti made a motion to that end, and it passed unanimously. He also stated that any township resident or business wishing to pick up a load of fill at the township building may be permitted to do so, after notifying the office.

The supervisors voted in support of a DCNR park rehab grant that, if received, would allow accessibility improvements at the Clarion County Park.

Blose announced that tax collector Karen Kahle made her aware of a printing error on the 2019 tax bills, which were already mailed to township residents. The error was made in the terminology of the fire assessment; however, it is important to note that there are no errors in millage or amounts due.

The next meeting of the Paint Township supervisors is on April 17, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.
