On Wednesday, March 27, President Judge James Arner sentenced 23-year-old Traa Alan Wagner, of Brookville, to 24 months in a County Intermediate Punishment (CIP) program to include one year of house arrest followed by one year of probation on one second-degree felony count of Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property.

Court documents indicate Wagner pleaded guilty to the above charge on February 20, 2019.

As a result of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed:

  • Theft By Deception-False Impression, Felony 2
  • Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 2

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, July 23, 2015, Traa Alan Wagner drove to a residence on Pine Run Road in Redbank Township, Clarion County, entered one of the bedrooms, and allegedly stole a Ranger shotgun from the closet and a Remington model 700 from a wall shelf before leaving the residence.

Wagner then allegedly drove to a business in Jefferson County where he signed paperwork stating he was the owner of the two firearms before selling the two guns to the business for $200.00, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, on June 6, 2017, Wagner wrote a confession stating that he stole the rifle and shotgun from the residence and sold them.

Wagner was arraigned on Wednesday, August 1, in Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s office.
