Emergency Crews Respond to Brush Fire in Monroe Township

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Emergency crews from over a half dozen local agencies responded to the scene of a large brush fire in Monroe Township on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a representative of Clarion County 9-1-1, they received a call regarding a brush fire near 4545 Curllsville Road in Monroe Township around 12:32 p.m.

Callensburg-Licking Township Volunteer Fire Company, Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1, Hawthorn Area Volunteer Fire Department, Limestone Township Volunteer Fire Company, New Bethlehem Fire Company, Rimersburg Hose Company, Sligo Fire Rescue, and Pennsylvania State Forestry were dispatched to the scene.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The scene was cleared at 3:08 p.m.
