State Police Seeking Information on Hit-and-Run Crash in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened over the weekend in Washington Township.

According to Marienville-based State Police, a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash occurred at the Washington House parking lot, located at the corner of State Route 208 and Old Fryburg Road, in Fryburg, Washington Township, Clarion County, on Saturday, March 30.

Police interviewed the owner/operator of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado who stated he parked his vehicle at the Washington House parking lot between 8:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., and upon leaving, he noticed a dent and a scrape approximately 10 inches long on the rear driver’s side fender.

The driver was unable to provide any information regarding the identity of the unknown vehicle involved. He also stated he spoke with the owner of the business who indicated there was no surveillance of the parking lot area.

Trooper Snyder, of the Marienville-based State Police, observed the damage to the Silverado which included minor body damage to the rear driver’s side fender consisting of a dent and an approximately 10-inch long scrape with no paint transfer.
