CLARION BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A Clarion woman accused of punching a man who shoved her dog during an argument is scheduled to appear in court next week.

Court documents indicate 18-year-old Paris Raine Harley is slated to appear before Magisterial District Judge Duane L. Quinn at a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, April 9, at 8:30 a.m.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:22 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, Clarion Borough Police Officer Scheckler, of the Clarion Borough Police Department, was dispatched to a residence on North 3rd Avenue in Clarion for an active domestic violence incident.

Officers Scheckler and Fox arrived at the scene and were met by Paris Raine Harley and a known male.

Officer Fox spoke to Harley, while Officer Scheckler spoke to the known male.

According to the complaint, the male reported that Harley was having a bad day, and the two got into an argument. The male stated he was sitting on the bed when Harley’s dog, a four-year-old Jack Russel Mini-Pin mix, came over to him, and he shoved the dog away, which upset Harley. The male reported Harley then walked over to him and punched him in the mouth. He then got up and walked to the garage area, while Harley called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

The complaint notes that Officer Fox stated that Harley’s story agreed with the know male’s account.

Harley was then taken into custody for simple assault-domestic violence.

She was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Harley was lodged in the Clarion County Jail on March 31 in lieu of $2500.00 cash bail. She was released on April 1.
