Police New aFRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A Venango County man is facing trespassing and related charges after he ran onto the tarmac at the Venango Regional Airport as a plane was preparing for takeoff.

Around 9:06 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, Officer McConnell, of the Franklin Police Department, was dispatched to a security breach at the Venango Regional Airport.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that 29-year-old Matthew Castile, of Franklin, ran onto the tarmac of the airport, accessing the tarmac through a set of alarmed doors.

Flight #1062 was occupying the tarmac when Castle entered. The plane’s engines were running, and the plane was preparing to leave the tarmac.

Police say Castile ran to the back of the plane, underneath the tail of the plane, and then ran back inside the airport.

He is being charged with Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing through District Magistrate 28-3-03.
