JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — An accident on Interstate 80 closed the eastbound lanes from Exits 81 to 97 for a period Tuesday afternoon.
According to Jefferson County EMA, the accident occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. at mile marker 84.6. Interstate 80 reopened sometime after 5:00 p.m. and was confirmed open at 6:30 p.m.; however, Jefferson County EMA, couldn’t say what time the road reopened as it was a new shift.
When the roadway was closed, traffic was detoured off at Exit 81 (Hazen) onto Route 28 to Brockway and then onto Route 219 to DuBois Exit 97.
