Whiteman, C photo (2)Connie L. Whiteman, 70, of Leeper passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, at the Clarion Hospital.

She was born in Brookville on Jan. 21, 1949, to the late Wesley T. and Cecilia Hickey Hollis.

On Sept. 28, 1975, Connie married the love of her life, Larry Whiteman at the Scotch Hill Church in Leeper.

Connie, what can you sayshe was a fun, loving, caring and compassionate woman. She was a country forgiving kind of lady. Connie couldn’t sit still; she wouldn’t let the grass grow under her feet. She loved a good time, she frequented Sportsman’s Paradise, Fryburg Sportsman’s Club and the Knotty Pine. She liked the simple things like fishing, campfires, and holidays. Connie enjoyed going to casinos, traveling, walking, and reading. She always put her family first and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She truly missed her daughter and granddaughter and is now rejoined with them.

Along with her husband, Larry, she is survived by her children: Randall L. Hollis and his wife Lori, of Lucinda, and Lora Crank and her husband Judd, of Fayettesville, North Carolina; grandchildren: Ashley Bruce, Andrea Borland, Alex and Annika Crank, Josh and Faythlynn Vanek; great-grandchildren: Nathan and Reese Borland; brothers: Harry Hollis, of Leeper and Chuck Hollis of Frewsburg, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Whiteman; granddaughter, Sonyuh Olivera; brothers, Wesley Hollis Jr., Harvey Hollis, Bill Hollis, Richard Hollis and Donnie Hollis; and a nephew, Jeremy Hollis.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper.
