6260606_fbsLeonard “Lenny” G. Allen, 70, of Parker, passed away at his home Monday April 29, 2019.

Born June 12, 1948, he was the son of George and Alice (Stallsmith) Allen.

He was married July 10, 1971, to Betty Jean (Jeannie) Gourley, who survives.

Lenny was a veteran of the United States Army serving stateside during the Vietnam Era. Lenny worked for C&K Coal Company (RFI Energy) for 42 years. He started Allen’s Welding Service in 1992 and was currently employed as a supervisor for Perry Township.

Lenny is survived by two daughters: Tracy Bearfield and her husband Wayne of Callensburg and Tonya Stewart and her husband Brian of Sligo; three sisters, Ruth Ann Wescott and her husband Dick of Poulsbo, Washington, Patricia Zinz of Reno and Alyson Betts of Cochranton, three brothers; Blake Allen of Cochranton, John Allen of Parker and Scott Allen and his wife Joyce of Lehigh Acres, Florida.

He is also survived by three granddaughters, Whitley, Olivia and Alexandria Bearfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lenny’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday May 2, at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo.

Funeral services will be Friday May 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Myers, a retired Methodist Minister, officiating.

Interment will be in the Perryville Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Cancer Center of Clarion Hospital.
