(EYT) — Lance Pennington drive in five runs as Penn State DuBois claimed its second straight PSUAC baseball crown with a 15-2 win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre Monday at Showers Field in DuBois. Isaac Stouffer (1-for-1 with a double and a walk) and Vince McDowell each added a pair of RBIs for PSU DuBois, while Garrett Brown was 1-for-1 with two walks, an RBI and three runs scored. Leroy Fettig went 2-for-3 with a home run, a run scored and two RBIs for Wilkes-Barre. Toner Corl got the win going five innings allowing two runs on four hits while striking out seven. DuBois scored early and often putting up one in the first, six in the second and five in the third to take an 11-2 lead after three innings. With the win, DuBois, the defending USCAA Small College World Series Champions, earned the third seed in the USCAA Small College World Series to be played in DuBois. The Lions will take on Southern Main CC in the opening round at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Showers Field. The tournament will last through Thursday, May 16, with all games being played in DuBois.
