Edward Dunlap Jr.

He was born Oct. 25, 1958, in Franklin, to Edward and Betty (Crisman) Dunlap Sr.

He married Sheree Master on March 25, 1978, and she survives.

Ed graduated in 1976 from Franklin High School.

He was a tool and die maker and worked at several tool and die shops in the area throughout his career. His last place of employment before retiring was Shorts Tool. He was the former president of the Cochranton Youth League.

In his spare time he enjoyed attending antique car shows and used to show his street rods as well. He also loved taking family vacations and spending time with friends, family and his dogs, Brody and Tazzy, who were always by his side.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Alicia Bates and her husband Keith of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and a son, Jared Dunlap and his wife Ashley of Grove City.

He is also survived by two sisters, Teresa Hollabaugh and her husband Homer of Utica and Lisa Gardner and her husband David of Florida; and a brother, Randy Dunlap Sr. and his wife Susan of Florida.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sophia Dunlap and Andrew Bates.

Friends and family will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Strawn and Ed’s nephew the Rev. Mark Hollabaugh, officiating.

Interment will be in Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
